Cheryl L. Effron, M.D. is a board certified Dermatologist who has administered advanced skincare in California for over 32 years. After graduating from Stanford University, Phi Beta Kappa, and the University of California’s Keck School of Medicine, she completed a Dermatology Residency at Affiliated Hospitals, Veterans Administration Hospital and University of California, Irvine, CA. Dr. Effron is a Fellow of the American Board of Dermatology since 1981.
Dr. Effron is also a consultant and international lecturer on sensitive skin disorders, acne as well as anti-aging treatment products, peels and laser procedures. She has sat on panels for dermatologic events in Indonesia, France, Singapore, Portugal, Iceland, India, Hong Kong, and Poland, as well as multiple locations within the United States. Cosmetic Dermatology of Orange County is a training center for techniques for the cosmetic filler, Sculptra and was part of the investigative protocol development for Juvederm.
Product formulation and development has been a passion of Dr. Effron’s for the past 25 years. Jeffrey Lander, MD, PhD is a board certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon performing all Mohs Micrographic Surgery for Cosmetic Dermatology of Orange County. Dr. Lander is a native of Southern California who received his Ph.D. in 1998 in Biological Sciences at UC, Irvine before completing his medical school and dermatology residency in 2006 at the University of Minnesota. He completed an additional one year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology in 2007 for in-office skin cancer surgery and reconstruction.

Jung "Anne" Sung is a board certified Dermatology Physician's Assistant who has been in practice for 9 years. After graduating from John Hopkins University with a major in biology/pre-medical studies, she spent several years doing clinical research at the John Hopkins School of Medicine. She then obtained her graduate degree in 2004, with clinical training at the John Hopkins Hospital. She completed further surgical training at John Hopkins Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital before relocating to Southern California in 2008. Anne joined Cosmetic Dermatology of Orange County in 2012 after working in a dermatology practice in Beverly Hills.
Anne is skilled in treating patients with acne (including accutane), psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, allergic dermatitis, warts and hyperpigmentation. With her surgical background, she is competent in performing skin biopsies and removals of skin cancers/pre-cancers, as well as excisions of lymphomas, cysts, moles and skin tags. She is also our certified specialist in the treatment of psoriasis and vitiligo with the Xtrac Excimer Laser.
